GasBuddy Blog -- GM has waited six years but is now ready to introduce its redesigned Silverado and GMC Sierra full size pickups at a news conference in Detroit slated for Dec 13.
The Silverado 1500, which hasn't been redesigned since 2006 is easily GM's best-selling vehicle in the U.S., the Detroit Free press reports.

The new vehicles will become viewable by the public for the first time at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit (Jan,. 14-27) and until then, GM execs are playing their cards close to the vest.

The bold exterior design of the new Silverado reflects the enhanced capabilities of the truck while features such as jewel-like, projector beam headlamps showcase the careful attention given to every...

GM should now be called CHINA MOTORS........ check out this video

Obama and Biden have been saying, “Osama is dead and GM is alive.”

China's Chevy?? A must watch. There's no question about the words spoken by the GM official. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Lvl5Gan69Wo

Hope this will continue the top quality rating with Consumer's Reports. I drive half and three-quarter ton pickups from Chev, Ford, Dodge and Toyota. For quality I would rank the four: Toy as #1, Chev as #2. Ford comes in as #5 and Dodge comes in as #20. For off road use, I would put the Chev as #1. Toyota is only a half ton.

I'm interested in articles pertaining to "Gas" & "OIL" related stories.
I'll pick up "Consumer"s Report" for a full story on the TRUCK.

Look at it this way, if it doesn't sell, the Obama administration if re-elected in will bail them out again.

GM launches redesigned Silverado? But will it have higher MPG, with the same carrying and towing capacity? Probably Not! It's only for those that need a truck for business, carrying large or heavy items or towing trailers.
I will drive my current vehicle into the ground before buying anything new, used, EV, Inbred, diesel, hydrogen, alternative fuel, CNG, concept and certainly not a Prius, Tesla, Leaf, Volt or any of those pickups on the market!
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Sounds to me like they are just adding a bunch of tech stuff to the interior that you will never use. Same truck with a new grill and headlamps and new interior. The best they could say was they change the headlamps. I will stick with my "paid for" 2006 Silverado.
