No it's not. They have come a very long way in Scotland when it comes to use wind power in the remote villages and they are very proud of their accomplishments in that area. Only a pro-oil fanatic would call this a boondoggle.

This is another boondoggle but so glad it's not one more of ours. Although, maybe we can help them waste their money as we have plenty of experience wasting $billions on going green here in the US.

Not really. You have "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" (UK). Great Britain is the island and it has the countries (originally Kingdoms) England, Scotland and Wales within its shores. Having a daughter who did an internship at the Scottish Parliament, I have had to learn this, or else...

Gosh, there is enough wind for everyone... Has anyone considered building a wind farm in Washington D. C. There is enough hot wind there to power the entire country and have some left over for export.

Mudsprings does it again. I wonder how many bloggers had to go look up and see just what the difference is between Scotland and England. Well, I haven't yet, but just may have to refresh my self on terms such as Great Britian, UK, and Scotland and er ah England. One thing for sure (I think) they won't make near as much money off wind energy as they think. Those windmills are a batch of "Rube-Goldberg" machines and if you don't know what that means, look it up. Thanks Mudsprings for another good one.

This will probably turn out to be the perfect "win-win" situation for both countries. Only if they can somehow find a way to work together on this.
